The Romanian diplomat Lazar Comanescu received the position of Secretary General of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC), the Minister of Foreign Affairs Bogdan Aurescu said, adding that this nomination represents "a success for the Romanian diplomacy".
NATO Set to Activate Missile Shield in Romania
The US Navy will formally inaugurate its new missile defence base in southern Romania on Friday once construction of the base is complete.
There are still some tests to be run before the system is fully operational, most likely by April next year, according to Romanian officials.

Former foreign ministers convened in first Foreign Ministry's Consultative Council in five years
