PSD' Executive Committee to have meeting on Sunday at Parliament Palace

The National Executive Committee of the PSD (Social Democratic Party) is set to have a meeting on Sunday at the Parliament Palace, to discuss, among other things, a presentation related to administrative matters and the budget drafts for 2019, and also the preparation of the campaign for the elections to the European Parliament in May this year.

PSD's Dragnea: GDP - by at least 10 pct higher if certain institutions had pursued Romania's interest

The GDP and the budget revenues would have been by at least 10 per cent higher if all the state institutions had pursued Romania's interest, instead of just attempting to destabilize this ruling coalition, PSD (Social Democratic Party) leader Liviu Dragnea wrote on his Facebook page, in reply to a post regarding last year's budget revenues.

PM's advisor Valcov: Draft budget law is ready, to be presented on 29 January

The Prime Minister's advisor Darius Valcov said on Sunday at private TV broadcaster Antena 3 that the budget draft for 2019 is ready and will be presented by the Government on Tuesday, January 29, and on 5 or 6 February, its debate can start in Parliament, when the legislature resumes activity.

Social Democratic Party (PSD) chairman Liviu Dragnea and Alliance of Liberals and Democrats (ALDE) chairman Calin Popescu Tariceanu will meet on Monday, political sources inform.

According to the sources, among the topics to be approached at the meeting by the ruling coalition leaders there is also the budget draft for the current year.
