Turkish, British, Ukrainian defense ministers meet in Brussels

Defense ministers of Turkey, Britain and Ukraine had a tripartite meeting and discussed current issues on the sidelines of the NATO defense ministers meeting.

Italian army medical teams coming to Slovenian hospitals

Ljubljana – Fifteen Italian military health professionals will come to Slovenia on Sunday to join the medical teams of the Slovenian Armed Forces helping in Covid-19 hospitals. The Italian team will be greeted by Defence Minister Matej Tonin and Health Minister Janez Poklukar in Kranj, the Defence Ministry said in a press release.

Ljubljana – The Italian Army plans to help Slovenia with up to 30 doctors and nurses as the country battles an increasing number of Covid-19 patients, it was agreed at a meeting between the Slovenian and Italian defence ministers. Slovenian Defence Minister Matej Tonin tweeted this on Wednesday after meeting his Italian counterpart Lorenzo Guerini.

Turkish, Italian defense ministers discuss security issues

Turkey's Defense Minister Hulusi Akar discussed with his Italian counterpart on July 13, bilateral and regional security issues and the latest developments in Afghanistan, Libya and the Eastern Mediterranean, according to the Turkish National Defense Ministry.

The meeting between Akar and Lorenzo Guerini in Istanbul was constructive and positive, it said.

Turkish, British, Italian defense chiefs meet in Sicily

The Turkish defense minister met his British and Italian counterparts on Italy's Sicily island on June 11. 

During the tripartite talks, which took place on the HMS Queen Elizabeth aircraft carrier anchored in the Port of Augusta, Hulusi Akar, Ben Wallace, and Lorenzo Guerini discussed relations in the field of defense and security and regional issues.
