Legal Action Against Russian Military Figures by ICC for Ukraine War Crimes

Today, the Hague's International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants targeting high-ranking military figures from Russia. The commanders in question, Sergey Kobylash and Viktor Sokolov, stand accused of grave offenses allegedly committed during the war in Ukraine between October 10, 2022, and March 9, 2023.

International court issues war crimes warrant for Putin

The International Criminal Court said on March 17 that it has issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin for war crimes, accusing him of personal responsibility for the abductions of children from Ukraine.

It was the first time the global court has issued a warrant against a leader of one of the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council.
