After the Smokinya North Beach in Sozopol Municipality (southeastern Bulgaria) has been ploughed up for a second year in a row, outraged local residents have alerted the competent institutions. Photos and videos showing a tractor levelling the beach were circulated on social media at the end of last week.

Bulgaria and China will cooperate to create production facilities for electric buses and a research and development centre in Bulgaria, BNR reported.

"The main goal in our efforts to enhance bilateral economic cooperation is to attract new direct American investment." This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister for Economic and Demographic Policy Mariyana Nikolova at her meeting in the Council of Ministers with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States, Herro Mustafa, quoted by the Government press service.
