Warner Bros. isn't resting on its " Barbie " laurels: The 100-year studio has its sights on a record-breaking 2024 as well, with a release slate that includes a new Mad Max film, " Furiosa," Kevin Costner's two-part Western epic, " Horizon: An American Saga, " the " Beetlejuice " sequel, and "Joker: Folie à Deux," which brings Lady Gaga to Gotham City.

Unicef head says Haiti situation nears chaos of 'Mad Max'
The U.N. children's agency chief offered a dire assessment Sunday of the chaotic situation in Haiti, saying it was "almost like a scene out of 'Mad Max,'" which depicted a violent and lawless post-apocalyptic future.
"Haiti is a horrific situation," UNICEF executive director Catherine Russell told CBS talk show "Face the Nation."
Boeing Max production could be slowed by issue with parts
Boeing has said that production and delivery of a "significant number" of its 737 Max planes could be delayed because of questions about a supplier's work on the fuselages.
Harry Potter TV series announced
The first Harry Potter television series is set to be made, with author JK Rowling acting as an executive producer, Warner Bros. Discovery announced on April 12.
Rowling has recently faced accusations of transphobia for putting an emphasis on biological sex over gender identity in comments about trans women. She denies the accusation.

Jennifer Lopez announces engagement to Ben Affleck
Singer and actress Jennifer Lopez has announced her engagement to Ben Affleck, 18 years after they ended their relationship for the first time.
The 52-year-old posted video of herself appearing emotional and admiring a green ring in her newsletter, "On The JLo." Her representatives then confirmed the engagement announcement to People magazine.
