Journalist and writer Hatice Utkan Özden's first book "Çağdaş Sanat ve Yaratıcılık" (Contemporary Art and Creativity), published by Morena, opens the door to the artists unknown and the hidden world of creativity.

Acclaimed Turkish artist Mehmet Güleryüz's most recent works will be exhibited in Paris. The exhibition "De l'Intérieur," consisting of his works painted while in Paris, will open its doors on Nov. 15 at the Gallery Cyril Guernieri in Paris.

The State Museum of Oriental Art in Moscow has opened a special exhibition project titled "The Bilge Collection" until April 2, providing a glimpse at contemporary Turkish art in the Russian capital.

The exhibition aims to provide an insight into Turkish art through the eyes of Muhsin Bilge (1944 - 2014), a renowned Turkish collector and a passionate lover and patron of art. 

Director Kaan Müjdeci?s film ?Sivas? has been selected as Turkey?s nominee for the Best Foreign Film Award at the 88th Academy Awards. 

Set in the steppes of Central Anatolia, the film is a coming-of-age story in which a boy, named Aslan, rescues a wounded Anatolian shepherd in a ditch, after which he forges a strong friendship with the dog.

Istanbul Modern is hosting a conversation series focusing on artist Mehmet Güleryüz's large-scale quest for expression as well as a film program as part of its continuing retrospective, "Painter and Painting."

A new exhibition at Istanbul Modern, ?Painter and Painting: A Mehmet Güleryüz Retrospective,? is presenting an inventory of the artist?s oeuvre from the 1960s to the 2010s.
