Dendias, Cavusoglu announce mutual support for international body bids

Following a meeting between Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias and his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu in Brussels, the two men announced that Ankara will vote for Greece's candidacy in the elections for a non-permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council, while Athens will support Turkey for general-secretary of the International Maritime Organization.

Dendias to meet Turkish counterpart on sidelines of donors’ conference in Brussels

Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias said he will meet with his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu in Brussels Monday on the sidelines of a conference hosted by the EU aimed at ramping up funds from international donors to help the victims of the devastating earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria.

The meeting will take place at 2 p.m. Greek time, Dendias said.

Türkiye, Egypt to raise diplomatic ties to highest level soon: Turkish FM

Türkiye's chief diplomat was in Cairo on March 18 for talks with Egyptian officials as the regional powers seek to mend their frayed ties after years of tensions.

Cavusoglu confirms release of jailed Greek man to attend son’s funeral

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu confirmed in a phone call to Greek counterpart Nikos Dendias that authorities would allow the jailed father of a train driver killed in the Tempe train crash to be released from a Turkish prison so that he can attend his son's funeral.

The issue was raised by Dendias in a phone discussion Cavusoglu on Monday.
