Bulgaria's Socialists to Be Fierce Opposition in Parliament - BSP Chair

The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) will vote against the new center-right government on Friday, the party's head Mihail Mikov said in Parliament.

Bulgarian Socialists Ready for New Talks with GERB, Mikov Says  

The Socialists will take part on a second round of consultations over forming a government coalition if GERB extended an invitation for meaningful political negotiations, Socialist leader Mihail Mikov said on Tuesday.

He, however, stopped short of indicating whether the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) is ready to make concessions and render support to GERB.

Borisov Juggles Coalition Options in Bulgaria

Boyko Borisov, whose centre-right GERB party came top in the recent general election, is ready to give ministerial posts to other parties in exchange for their support, he said in an interview.

Borisov told the Pressa daily that he was willing to make compromises in exchange for support for his government, but would not accept conditions for posts.
