BELGRADE - The Trump administration is freezing out CNN, declaring that the White House has no desire to send surrogates to appear on "fake news."

President Donald Trump has been fiercely sparring with the network, and reporters at the organization believe that he is trying to punish them and force their ratings to tank.

Since his shock victory last month, Donald Trump has been trying very hard to bypass the daily intelligence briefings that are intrinsic to the daily schedules of U.S. Presidents.

According to recent reports, the president-elect has stated that he is too smart to be given daily briefings, and that is why he has confined them to one briefing per week and once on Sundays.

Trump has spoken with Erdoğan, aides confirm

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump and his incoming vice president have now spoken to 29 foreign leaders and dignitaries, including Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Trump's aides said Nov. 17.

Erdoğan previously had said he had talked to Trump on the phone and congratulated him over his victory.
