Since his shock victory last month, Donald Trump has been trying very hard to bypass the daily intelligence briefings that are intrinsic to the daily schedules of U.S. Presidents.
According to recent reports, the president-elect has stated that he is too smart to be given daily briefings, and that is why he has confined them to one briefing per week and once on Sundays.

Trump has spoken with Erdoğan, aides confirm
U.S. President-elect Donald Trump and his incoming vice president have now spoken to 29 foreign leaders and dignitaries, including Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Trump's aides said Nov. 17.
