Croatia's prime minister says he sees no prospect of cooperation with the country's president. The president says the PM has not shown "even the slightest interest" in resolving a raft of issues where their jurisdictions overlap.

That Andrej Plenkovic, the premier, and Zoran Milanovic, the president, do not see eye to eye has long been apparent.

The reason was Milanovic's recent statements that Ukraine had no place in NATO and that the EU had instigated a "coup d'état" in Ukraine in 2014, which overthrew pro-Russian President Viktor Yanukovych.

Milanovi said this to journalists in Petrinja, talking about the war in Ukraine and the similarities between Crimea and Kosovo and Metohija.

Ljubljana/Zagreb – President Borut Pahor will be the guest of honour at the traditional Sinjska Alka equestrian competition in the Croatian town of Sinj this Sunday upon invitation of his Croatian counterpart Zoran Milanović. Pahor will be the first foreign statesman in this capacity at the tournament, the president’s office has announced.

On that occasion, Milanovic also commented on relations with Serbia.
"It will cost you. Get away from it, people," he warned.
He says that it would have been better for the Serbs in Krajina if they had not listened to the instigators of the war for which they left.

He also said that Milorad Dodik, the Serbian member of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina, spreads ethnic hatred, but also that "there are many worse than him".

In an interview with the Croatian agency, Escobar said that Serbia "historically, culturally and economically belongs to Europe" and that most of its citizens believe that their future is in that alliance. He also reminded Milanovic that Serbia stated EU membership as its strategic goal and that it was already connected with that alliance.

Sharing her impressions with journalists about Mostar and the old city center, saying that she feels beautiful in that city, Brnabi referred to the support of the Government of the Republic of Serbia to the Serbian community in Mostar.

Speaking about the attention Serbia attracted during Angela Merkel's visit to Serbia, Vui said that he did not think that only her visit caused that attention, but he added that Merkel's visit was very important for us.
"It is, I can't say, the crown of my political career, but it is certainly very important for me to meet Angela Merkel," said Vucic.

"I don't intend to back down on that. We can't ask for war compensation from Serbia, but there are human souls, not bodies. They have that information and they will have to give it to us. We need to focus on the essentials, and those are missing persons. The team in Belgrade can give us the requested information if they want", Milanovic said in Kijevo, a place in Sibenik-Knin County.
