BELGRADE - The upcoming meeting of the European branch of the Trilateral Commission, set to open in Belgrade on Friday, will bring together participants from all European countries, who will discuss the progress of the entire region on the path towards EU accession, says Tahir Hasanovic, president of the organising committee of the European Trilateral Conference in Belgrade.
Members of Bosnian Presidency elected
SARAJEVO -- The Election Commission has confirmed the election of the three members of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
They are Bakir Izetbegović of the Party of Democratic Action, Dragan Čović of the Croatian Democratic Union and Mladen Ivanić of the Party of Democratic Progress.
Milorad Dodik says his governing Alliance of Independent Social Democrats, SNSD, intends to form the next government in Bosnia's predominantly Serbian entity.
EP official critical of "Dayton Bosnia"
SARAJEVO -- "The national policy in Bosnia-Herzegovina no longer has the credit it used to," says Tonino Picula, a member of the European parliament from Croatia.
Picula told the Sarajevo-based daily Dnevni Avaz that Bosnia should "as soon as possible move from Dayton to Brussels."
BELGRADE - A military parade to celebrate seventy years since the liberation of Belgrade from Nazi occupation in World War II, attended by Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic and Russian President Vladimir Putin, began with a gun salute and the sounds of the Serbian anthem in the afternoon on Thursday.
