Former Foreign Affairs Minister Mircea Geoana has stated on Wednesday that he is proud to have been appointed as Deputy Secretary General of NATO, a position which represent, in his view, a recognition of the Romania's "important" contribution within the Alliance. "I am proud to be appointed by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg as the next Deputy Secretary General.

Minister-delegate Ciamba: No country is a full member unless it has chaired EU Council

Former foreign ministers convened in first Foreign Ministry's Consultative Council in five years

Dragnea states that Geoana and Vanghelie sabotaged PSD during electoral campaign

The executive chairman of the Social Democrat Party (PSD), Liviu Dragnea, stated, on Wednesday evening, that the main reason for which Mircea Geoana and Marian Vanghelie were expelled from the party was that they sabotaged the activity ongoing during the presidential election campaign, it being "the straw that broke the camel's back" due to "several reasons" that appeared previously.
