Architects Urge Delay to ‘Zagreb Manhattan’ Development Project

Members of professional associations from the fields of architecture and urban planning called on Monday for the postponement of the decision on amendments to Zagreb's general urban plan due to a number of procedural errors, non-compliance with democratic procedures and an absence of public discussions about the Zagrebacki Manhattan (Zagreb Manhattan) project.

First Belgrade Waterfront residential building opened

The ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Ana Brnabic and President Aleksandar Vucic, the Serbian government announced.

On that occasion, Brnabic, Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali, Belgrade Mayor Zoran Radojicic, Eagle Hills Director Mohamed Alabbar and Director of the Belgrade Waterfront company Nikola Nedeljkovic cut the ribbon.

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met in Belgrade on Thursday with Mohamed Alabbar, chairman of the Abu Dhabi-based Eagle Hills company, the investor behind the Belgrade Waterfront project.

In a recent exclusive interview with Tanjug, Alabbar said he was satisfied with Serbia-UAE cooperation on the project.

Dubai property giant Emaar profit up 31 percent in Q3

Dubai-based real estate developer Emaar Properties on Sunday reported a 31-percent rise in net profits during the third quarter of 2015.

Emaar - best known for building the world's highest tower, the Burj Khalifa - said it had recorded net profit of $230 million between July and September 2015, compared to $176 million during the same period last year.
