The parrot is dead

There's a famous Monty Python sketch from the early 1970s about an argument between a pet shop keeper and a customer complaining about the dead parrot he recently purchased. The shopkeeper refuses to accept the claim even though the bird is obviously dead as a doornail.

Last Thursday the prime minister invited the heads of Greek banks to his office to discuss exorbitant fees even for the simplest electronic services.

Prior to that there was a deluge of customer complaints when they discovered that banks exacted a fee even for an electronic printout of their account balances.

Greece’s former finance minister Yanis Varoufakis made it to the 2015 list of style leaders by British newspaper, Guardian. The newspaper states that having style isn’t just about how you look to say something about yourself but also with the way you capture something about the world around you.
