Turkish foreign minister, UN envoy talk Libya
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on March 2 met with Jan Kubis, the special U.N. envoy for Libya, in the Turkish capital Ankara.
Çavuşoğlu said on Twitter that they discussed recent developments in the intra-Libyan political process and the formation of a new interim government.
"Our support to ensure stability in brotherly Libya will continue," he added.

Turkish FM holds phone call with Iraqi counterpart
Turkey's top diplomat held a series of telephone calls on Feb. 8 with counterparts from three countries.
Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu called his Iraqi Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments, according to Turkish sources.
He separately spoke with Tunisia's Othman Jerandi in a call that focused on recent development in Libya.

Turkish parliament approves Libya troops motion
The Turkish parliament on Dec. 22 approved a motion calling for an extension in troop deployment in Libya for another 18 months.
While the ruling AKP, and the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) backed the motion, the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP), Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), and Good (İYİ) Party voted against it.

Turkish cargo ship detained by Haftar’s forces released
A Turkish ship, transporting medicine to Libya's port of Misrata and detained last week by forces loyal to Libyan warlord Khalifa Haftar, was released on Dec. 10.
The vessel and its crew members set out for their final destination Misrata, local sources told Anadolu Agency.

A Turkish ship transporting medicine to Libya's port of Misrata was detained early on Dec. 8 by forces loyal to Libyan warlord Khalifa Haftar.
Haftar's forces detained the vessel and its 17 crew members, including nine Turkish citizens, claiming they did not comply with instructions.

Turkey summons EU, Italian, German envoys over search of ship
The envoys of the European Union, Italy and Germany in the Turkish capital Ankara were summoned to the country's Foreign Ministry on Nov. 23 in the wake of a controversial search of a Turkish-flagged ship by an EU naval mission a day earlier.
Libyan soldiers complete Turkish army training
A passing out ceremony was held on Nov. 21 for Libyan soldiers who completed an eight-week training by the Turkish Armed Forces.
The training was held as part of a deal signed between the two countries last year.
Libyan Defense Minister Salahaddin Namroush said the completion of this training was evidence that the Libyan-Turkish military cooperation was bearing fruit.
