5th Tour of Antalya kicks off

Featuring four different challenging stages this time, the fifth Tour of Antalya kicked off on Feb. 8 with 25 teams and 175 cyclists from 16 countries.

Speaking at the press conference, Turkish Cycling Federation President Emin Müftüoğlu said that the federation has completed its 100th anniversary.

Necropolis area becomes a museum

The East Garage Necropolis Area, which was once a public market in the southern province of Antalya and where archaeological excavations started after the discovery of rock tombs, has been transferred to the Culture and Tourism Ministry.

With the project, which had a cost of approximately 292 million Turkish liras, the necropolis area has been opened as a museum.

Applications start for Golden Orange Film Festival

Applications for the National Feature, National Short Feature and National Documentary Film Competitions and the Literary Adaptation Screenplay Competition of the 60th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival started on July 17.

The festival will be held by Antalya Metropolitan Municipality between Oct. 7 and 14 this year in the southern province of Antalya.

‘Black Night’ best film at Golden Orange

The 59th Golden Orange Film Festival ended on Oct. 8 at a ceremony held at the Antalya Sports Hall. The festival's Best Picture Award went to Özcan Alper's "Karanlık Gece" (Black Night).

In this year's festival, where 25 awards were given in five categories, Emin Alper's film "Kurak Günler" (Burning Days) became the most awarded movie with nine awards.

Antalya Film Festival ends with award ceremony

The International Antalya Film Festival handed out the Golden Orange Awards for the 58th time in a ceremony held at Antalya Sports Hall.

Organized by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality under the leadership of Mayor Muhittin Böcek, the film festival came to an end with the closing gala and the traditional award ceremony on Oct. 9.

Golden Orange Film Festival kicks off

The 58th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival, organized by the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, kicked off on Oct. 2 at the Antalya Sports Center under pandemic measures.

Making a speech at the ceremony, Antalya Mayor Muhittin Böcek, who stayed intubated for months in hospital last year due to COVID-19, said that he was happy to be at this year's opening ceremony of the festival.
