Nation marks 99th anniversary of Republic Day
Türkiye celebrates the 99th anniversary of Republic Day on Oct. 29 with official ceremonies and a series of events held throughout the country, its representations abroad and Turkish Cyprus.
Celebrations began with state officials' visit to Anıtkabir, the mausoleum of Turkish Republic founder Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, in the capital Ankara.

Renovation works have started in Room 71 of Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul, where Turkish Republic founder Mustafa Kemal Atatürk died, to open it to visitors on Nov. 10, his death anniversary.
The National Palaces Presidency photographed the ceiling skirts and wall surfaces of the room and compared them with the previous photos from the digital archive to determine the damage.
İzmir marks 100th anniversary of its liberation
A victory march in which a giant 350-meter Turkish flag was carried by the people on Sept. 9 marked the 100th anniversary of the liberation of Türkiye's Aegean province of İzmir.

Turkish President Erdogan has again Threatened Greece
Turkish President Recep Erdogan made a speech full of threats to Greece. He called on Athens to learn from history and not forget the defeat in the Greco-Turkish war in 1922, Anadolu Agency reported.
Erdogan made the speech at Turkey's largest technology festival, Teknofest, which is held on the Black Sea coast in Samsun province.
Aircraft, vehicles assemble to form ‘100’ to mark Victory Day
The officials of the Istanbul Airport have issued a video clip celebrating the 100th year of the Dumlupınar Battle by forming "100" on one of the runways with three aircraft and more than 100 vehicles.
The number "1" was formed with three aircraft parked on the runway, while the two zeros were formed with 108 airport vehicles assembled closely.
World hails Türkiye for peace efforts: Erdoğan
The world is appreciating the diplomatic efforts of Türkiye for reinstating peace and stability in the region, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said, as the nation celebrated the 100th anniversary of the Dumlupınar Victory that paved the way for the foundation of the Republic of Türkiye in 1923.

Nation marks 100th year of Dumlupınar Victory
Turkish people celebrate Victory Day on Aug. 30, marking the 100th anniversary of when Turkish armies succeeded in the Great Offensive under the leadership of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of modern Türkiye, against occupying Greek forces on the same date in 1922.
