It took six years after the harsh winter that had enveloped the summer-style tents with snow in the Moria refugee camp on the island of Lesvos for compensation to be awarded to the relatives of a Syrian and an Egyptian man who died from carbon monoxide inhalation as they tried to keep warm with makeshift stoves. 

The family of a 46-year-old Syrian refugee who died in his sleep at the Moria camp on the island of Lesvos of carbon monoxide poisoning on January 28, 2017, has filed a lawsuit against the Greek state demanding hundreds of thousands of euros in damages.

Senior-ranking Golden Dawn member Ilias Kasidiaris verbally attacked a Muslim SYRIZA lawmaker on Tuesday during a closed session of the Parliament's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.

According to reports, Kasidiaris demanded the removal of SYRIZA MP Mustafa Mustafa using "unacceptable" language.
