BELGRADE - The High Court in Belgrade has placed three people in 30-day custody on suspicion of spreading panic via social media networks during the recent state of emergency by posting false information about the number of fatalities caused by the floods.

BELGRADE - The Belgrade police have arrested three persons for spreading false information on social networks about the number of persons killed in the floods that hit Serbia last week.
The suspects are charged with an attempt to cause panic and disorder, head of the Belgrade police Veselin Milic said at the City Assembly.
Vucic: 38 people reported missing during floods
SREMSKA MITROVICA - Serbia's Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said on Wednesday the police currently had 38 reports of missing persons related to the floods that hit country last week.
The investigations have resulted in many people finding their loved ones, he explained, adding that the number of victims had not increased so far.

BELGRADE -- Eight people were arrested on Sunday on suspicion of causing losses of EUR 75 losses to the pharmaceutical company Galenika.
Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanović confirmed this and added that "the public can expect the investigation to show where money from the public enterprise was flowing away."

State of emergency lifted, 33 victims so far
BELGRADE -- The Serbian government on Friday decided to lift the country-wide state of emergency introduced on May 15.
The proposal came from the emergency HQ set up to deal with the flood crisis, and was announced earlier in the day by Interior Minister Nebojša Stefanović.

Dejan Lazarevic (44) a fireman who lost his life saving lives of others was buried in Topola yesterday.
By his grave, all in tears there were his father Miroslav, mother Gorica, wife Dragana, son Nikola and daughter Nikolina.
