BELGRADE, April 29 (Tanjug) - After the election of a new government, new ministers took office from their predecessors in almost all departments on Monday.

Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic took over from Ivica Dacic.

Dacic took over from Ivan Mrkic as foreign minister.

NOVI SAD - Vice President of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Nebojsa Stefanovic stated on Friday that the new government coalition would have 19 members, including two ministers without portfolio.

Vučić presents composition of cabinet to SNS

BELGRADE -- The SNS leader and future prime minister, Aleksandar Vučić, presented on Friday to his party's Main Board the names of ministers who will serve in his cabinet.

BELGRADE - Veroljub Arsic, an authorized representative of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), said Wednesday that parliament speaker candidate Maja Gojkovic will be the most successful parliament speaker who will improve the reputation not only of the Serbian parliament but also all its members.

Nebojsa Stefanovic, vice-president of Serbian Progressive Party, which took a majority at the Belgrade local elections last month as well as winning nationwide polls, said that the new mayor should be elected as soon as city’s new parliament holds its first session.

New parliament to hold inaugural session

BELGRADE -- Lawmakers of the new parliamentary convocation gathered on Wednesday for the first time for the inaugural session of the National Assembly of Serbia.

The mandates of the new MPs will be verified today.

SNS leader invited Socialists to join government

BELGRADE -- The SNS main board late on Tuesday authorized Aleksandar Vučić to continue the talks on forming the next government and present a proposal of its composition.
