They said on Saturday that pro-Serbian politicians Andrija Mandic and Milan Knezevic's New Serbian Democracy and Democratic People's Party will go to polls as a coalition, while Nebojsa Medojevic's Movement for Changes will compete on its own.

"There are public indications that the Montenegrin authorities supported Bosnian Serb forces, despite the former Federal Republic of Yugoslavia's embargo on the Bosnian Serb authorities," Medojevic said.

Three pro-Serbian opposition deputies, Andrija Mandic, Milan Knezevic and Milun Zogovic, were brought before prosecutors in Montenegro on Friday to be charged over an incident in the country's parliament before a vote on the new law on religion.

Nebojsa Medojevic, a Montenegrin MP and leader of the Movement for Changes, PzP party, which is part of the opposition Democratic Front alliance, said on Monday that he wanted his party to join American right-winger Steve Bannon's The Movement after meeting its representatives in Brussels.

Montenegro's Constitution Court ruled on Wednesday that the jailing of the opposition lawmaker Nebojsa Medojevic, one of the leaders of the Democratic Front, was unlawful and ordered his release.

Opposition parties and anti-corruption watchdogs in Montenegro have accused the government of favouring a Chinese company in a billion-euro contract to construct a highway from Montenegro to Serbia.

The opposition Democratic Front is planning a new round of demonstrations from December aimed at forcing out the party of outgoing Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic, which has held power since 1991.

Montenegro's main opposition alliance, the Democratic Front, on Monday called on the prosecution to reveal which political structures and politicians collaborated with Russian nationalists in an alleged plot to overthrow Prime Minister Milo Djukanovic.
