Romania Seeks Answers from Serbia Over Stalled Extradition

Romanian Justice Minister Tudorel Toader was in Belgrade on Monday to discuss the extradition of a politician wanted in Romania for graft with his Serbian counterpart, Nela Kuburovic.

The meeting lasted an hour and, according to the Romanian minister of Justice, the two officials discussed Serbia's plans to join the EU as well as "mentioning" Sebastian Ghita's case.

Kuburovic, Bosnjakovic to meet in Belgrade next month

BELGRADE - Serbian and Croatian Justice Ministers Nela Kuburovic and Drazen Bosnjakovic will speak in Belgrade next month, with the meeting expected to make it clearer whether Zagreb will continue to insist that Belgrade stops prosecuting Croatian nationals indicted for war crimes.

The meeting will follow in the wake of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic's visit to Croatia.

NEW YORK - The ICTY will leave a legacy of selective justice, Serbian Justice Minister Nela Kuburovic told the UN Security Council Wednesday.

Speaking at a session on the final report on the work of the ICTY, which closed on November 30, Kuburovic said most of those indicted and convicted by the ICTY had been Serbs.
