Teodosic leads Red Star to victory in Korac Cup final

NIS - Red Star Belgrade have successfully defended their title in the Serbian national basketball cup - the Radivoj Korac Cup - after a 85-79 (15-18, 28-26, 25-19, 17-16) win over arch-rivals Partizan in the final on Saturday evening.

Red Star won their fourth consecutive Radivoj Korac Cup and their 13th cup title in club history.

Green hoopsters down the Reds by 11

Panathinaikos triumphed in Piraeus over Olympiakos on Friday, against the odds, with its 88-77 win also covering the Greens' deficit in the two teams' head-to-head in the Euroleague.

The Reds had won by seven in the first game between the two Greek rivals, but in the Friday game at the Peace and Friendship Stadium the Greens were the boss from start to finish.

Nedovic's 39 points not enough for the Greens

Panathinaikos and Olympiakos lost some ground this week in the Euroleague, as their road defeats pulled them further away from the top-eight of the table that leads to the playoffs.

On Tuesday Panathinaikos went down 89-81 at Maccabi Tel Aviv, despite putting up a strong resistance to the hosts, threatening the Giannis Sfairopoulos-coached team with an upset.
