Bulgaria Celebrates St. Nicholas Day: A Tradition of Faith and Festivity

Bulgarians across the country observed the Day of Saint Nicholas on December 6, known as Nikulden, commemorating the revered figure of St. Nicholas of Myra. Originating from Patara in Asia Minor in the 3rd century, St. Nicholas led a pious life, aiding the destitute and weak while embodying the principles of faith and truth.

Dr Kon strikes back: They reacted immediately, rightly so

The reaction, at least those from the educational community, was mostly caused by the attitude of epidemiologist and member of the Crisis Staff Dr Predrag Kon, who warned that the winter break should begin before St. Nicholas, which is celebrated on December 19, because that is the period when gastarbeiters enter our country, as they come from European countries where the delta strain reigns.

Bulgaria Celebrates Unification Day

Today Bulgarians celebrate 136 years from the Unification of Bulgaria.

6th of September is the day on which the actual unification of the Principality of Bulgaria and Eastern Rumelia takes place. An act that gave the country of Bulgaria the right to return to its borders, lands, that historically belong to it.
