Unexpected losses for Greens and Reds
Despite being favorites on paper, both Panathinaikos and Olympiakos lost their Euroleague games this week, the Greens at home to Monaco and the Reds in Belgrade to Partizan.
First on Thursday, Olympiakos went down 78-70 in Serbia, as Partizan snapped the Piraeus team's six-game winning streak.

Reds beat Baskonia and rise to second in Euroleague
Olympiakos has risen to second in the Euroleague through its home win over Baskonia on Thursday and the loss of Panathinaikos at Zalgiris Kaunas on Friday.
The Reds saw off Baskonia 92-69 at the Peace and Friendship Stadium with great ease to climb to an 8-3 record.

Once again, Olympiakos lost due to their mistakes, losing their focus and ultimately the game. They failed to close out the match as needed, allowing Bayern to win 84-80. Olympiakos departed from Athens on Thursday, heading to Munich, where they will face Bayern on Friday (21:45) in the Euroleague, aiming to bounce back with a win.

Nikola Jokic led Serbia with 14 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists.
He did not play in the fourth quarter, finishing one assist short of becoming the fourth player in Olympic history to get a triple-double.

ABU DHABI - The Serbia men's national basketball team suffered a 105-79 defeat to the USA on Wednesday evening in its second game at a pre-Olympic tournament in Abu Dhabi.
Steph Curry led the scoring for the USA with 24 points.
The Serbia team was without captain Bogdan Bogdanovic and Nikola Milutinov.
