Great opportunity to do good thing for Serbia
BAKU - Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic conferred in Baku on Wednesday with managers of AzVirt, the company that works on the construction of Corridor 11 in Serbia.
Vucic and AzVirt managers discussed other infrastructure projects in Serbia such as a bypass around Belgrade and construction of Corridor 10.

BELGRADE -- The pilot of the Mi-17 that crashed near Belgrade's Nikola Tesla Airport "asked his crew shortly before the crash if any of them could see the runway."
Tesla film to have European premiere on April 6 in Belgrade
BELGRADE - US director Joseph Sikorski's Tower To The People, a new documentary about Nikola Tesla, will have its European premiere on April 6 at Sava Centar in Belgrade.
The documentary, which premiered at the New Yorker Hotel in October last year, is about Tesla's dream of sending free wireless energy from a mysterious tower and the Wardencliff laboratory on Long Island.
Four infrastructure projects applied for IPA funds
BELGRADE - Four infrastructure projects which Serbia applied to the European Commission for 2015 IPA funds include the railway section on the Corridor 10, intermodal transport terminal in Batajnica, power line on the section from Kragujevac to Kraljevo and the reduction of harmful emissions in thermal power plant Nikola Tesla B1.

BELGRADE -- Condé Nast Traveler has highlighted Serbia and its capital as a must-visit place in 2015 and one of the 15 most interesting destinations in the world.
In the article published online, Serbia ranks 8th on a list that also includes "Cuba, Helsinki, Berlin and Cape Town," the National Tourism Organization of Serbia said.

NEW YORK - A bust of the famous Serbian-American scientist Nikola Tesla, made by academic sculptor Bojan Mikulic, will be officially unveiled at the New Yorker Hotel in Manhattan on January 10.
Photo contest brings India, Serbia closer
BELGRADE - The first INDIASERBIA Photography Contest, a collaborative project to further the relations between the citizens, professionals and institutions of India and Serbia, and the two grand prizes were given to Samir Basu from India and Zoltan Bisak from Serbia, the Embassy of India in Belgrade said in a release on Tuesday.

Reception for award-winning Serbian scientists
BELGRADE - Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali hosted on Thursday a reception for the Serbian science team who won a gold medal and a gold cup at the recent Inno Design Tech Expo in Hong Kong, the world's largest exhibition of innovations, latest technologies and practical design solutions.
The awards were presented for the ragweed control device designed by Milos Stankovic.
