Can the Cyprus talks be revived?
Turkish Cypriot leader Mustafa Akıncı was on front pages and TV screens last week with his continuing optimism. He was stressing that he believed it was still possible to resume the Cyprus talks and strike a deal by the end of April or May provided the Greek Cypriot side steps back from a law to mark the anniversary of the 1950 "enosis" (union with Greece) plebiscite.

The ongoing negotiations in Geneva on the Cyprus dispute is about to enter a new stage. According to the President of Cyprus, Nikos Anastasiades, it has been agreed that the two negotiating sides will exchange their ideas on maps today.
The maps tabled showed the legal Cypriot government offering the other side 28.2%, while the Turkish-Cypriot entity are demanding 1% more.
Have we reached a Cyprus decision?
The new Cyprus rendezvous in Geneva is in a few days and the sides are undertaking their last preparations for what is claimed to be a make-or-break session.
