They should arrive in Bucharest next Tuesday, according to a NATO media release, quoted by DPA

"Bulgaria's decision to expel 70 Russian officials considered to be foreign agents is a sovereign decision that must be respected."

This is part of NATO's response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Croatian portal Index.hr reported.
Thus, British fighter jets of the "Eurofighter Typhoon" type will take over the protection of the skies over Romania from the Italian "Eurofighter".

Turkish and US fighter jets have taken up NATO air policing duties this week to guard the skies over Poland and Iceland, a NATO spokesperson said on July 7. 

"We thank our Allies the United States and Turkey for contributing to NATO's air policing missions," Oana Lungescu said in a statement.

The military alliance will continue using its armed forces to deter aggression, said NATO spokeswoman Oana Lungescu.

AP quoted her as saying that "Russian statements threatening to target allies are unacceptable and counterproductive."

The NATO-led KFOR mission will continue to guarantee a safe and secure environment throughout Kosovo following the murder of one of the Kosovo Serb leaders Oliver Ivanovic, NATO Spokesperson Oana Lungescu told TASS.
