OLAF: Bulgaria to Return Nearly 6 Million Euros to EU for Alleged Abuse in the Ministry of Interior

The European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF) has alleged President's Anti-Corruption Secretary Plamen Uzunov of corruption.

The investigation refers to a contract concluded by Uzunov on March 23, 2017 for the purchase of police cars with European funds.

Significant Increase of State Revenues Over Past 3 Months

Caretaker PM Ognyan Gerdzhikov announced in a TV interview that the state revenues over the past three months have increased by EUR 800M on the same period of 2016, quoted by BNR.

The premier said this growth has due to the well-working economy and the good collectability of the customs and the National Revenues Agency.

Interim PM Ognyan Gerdzhikov: Tone of Parliament's First Session Was Constructive

''The tone of the first session of the 44th National Assembly was constructive, hopefully it will remain so in future'', said interim Prime Minister Prof. Ognyan Gerdzhikov, FOCUS News Agency reports.

He wished good luck to the new MPs and voiced his view that there were too few women and lawyers elected to this Parliament.
