Serbia out of United Cup after Stevanovic loses to Australia's Tomljanovic

PERTH - The Serbia national tennis team is out of the United Cup after Natalija Stevanovic lost 6-1, 6-1 to Australia's Ajla Tomljanovic in Perth on Wednesday.

Winning after only 65 minutes of play, Tomljanovic handed Australia a decisive 2-0 lead in the quarter-final tie against Serbia.

Stevanovic was a stand-in for Olga Danilovic.

Injury ends Danilovic's Australian Open campaign

MELBOURNE - Serbian tennis hopeful Olga Danilovic has ended her campaign at the Australian Open Junior tournament after retiring from Wednesday's match against India's Zeel Desai due to injury.

Fifth-seeded Danilovic, who was leading 5-3 in the first set in a bid to reach the quarter-finals, suffered a hamstring injury while serving, and had to be taken off the court in a wheelchair.
