The Serbian government and the political party of detained Kosovo Serb leader Oliver Ivanovic, who is accused of war crimes, have launched a petition demanding his release.

BELGRADE -- Coordinator of the RECOM Initiative Natasa Kandić says "no evidence" has been found to confirm the allegations that Oliver Ivanović participated in any crimes.

Ivanović is a Serb politician from northern Kosovo who has been held in custody since January.

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - Dragoljub Delibasic, former police chief in the Serb-majority northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, has been transferred from custody in Pristina to a detention unit in Mitrovica, Irina Gudeljevic, spokeswoman for the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), said Saturday.

Gudeljevic told Tanjug that the transfer was conducted late on Friday.

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - The legal team defending Oliver Ivanovic, the leader of the Citizens' Initiative Serbia, Democracy, Justice (SDP) warned on Monday that a "Hague scenario" is now at work in Kosovo-Metohija and that the investigation is not being conducted in a transparent manner.

BELGRADE - A EULEX team of judges at the Kosovska Mitrovica court of first instance has requested that Oliver Ivanovic's lawyers provide proof of being registered with the Kosovo Bar Association.

Request for transfer of another Serb detainee to KM

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA -- Dragoljub Delibašić's lawyer says he requested that his client be transferred from the Priština detention center to northern Kosovska Mitrovica.

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - Defence attorney Miodrag Brkljac stated on Wednesday that he has filed a request for his client Dragoljub Delibasic, 57, to be transferred from the Pristina detention center to the one in north Kosovska Mitrovica.

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - The steering team tasked with establishing the community of Serb municipalities dismissed on Saturday as completely untrue a statement by the Citizens' Initiative Serbia, Democracy, Justice (SDP) on support by representatives of the Serb community in Kosovo-Metohija regarding the idea of forming a so-called Kosovo army.

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA - Leader of Citizens’ Initiative ‘Serbia, Democracy, Justice (SDP) Oliver Ivanovic said Friday that he is feeling safer in a detention center in Kosovska Mitrovica.

Ivanovic was transferred to the detention center in the majority-Serb north Kosovska Mitrovica after spending 45 days and hunger striking for eight days in detention in Pristina.
