Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar paid a visit to the Azerbaijani capital Baku on the weekend to discuss cooperation in energy and the prospects of renewable energy projects.

Bayraktar held what he described as "very productive meetings" with his Azeri counterpart, Parviz Shahbazov, and Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov.

The capacity of the Trans-Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) will be doubled, Energy Minister Fatih Dönmez has announced.

"We are entering a political crisis, our partners are waiting to see what happens. This crisis is costing Bulgarian citizens a lot". This was stated by the resigned Prime Minister Kiril Petkov. "At this time, the mandate will be returned", he added.

The Azerbaijani state oil company, SOCAR, has agreed to import additional amounts of natural gas to Turkey amid a cut in the flow from Iran, a senior official of the company has said.

Turkey and Azerbaijan agreed to natural gas supplies from Turkey to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Turkey's Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Dönmez and Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov on Dec. 15.

The fifth meeting of the Southern Corridor Advisory Council will also comment on the energy connectivity in the Southeast Europe region.
