Migrants still attempting to enter Europe through Greece
Even as a steady influx of undocumented migrants continues to arrive on Greek islands in the eastern Aegean from neighboring Turkey, in western Greece hundreds have been intercepted while attempting to continue their journeys further into Europe.

Seven Against Thebes | On Tour | To September 16
The National Theater of Northern Greece is taking its production of the third play in Aeschylus' Oedipus-themed trilogy, "Seven Against Thebes" - where the blind king's curse dooming his sons to divide the kingdom by the sword finally comes to pass. The production is directed by Lithuania's Cezaris Grauzinis and stars Yiannis Stankoglou as Eteocles and Giorgos Papandreou as Polynices.

Patra's historic Mamos beer set for revival
Photographs of Athens's Omonia Square back in the 1960s - when it still had a fountain - reveal the dynamism of the Greek economy at the time, as it was lit up at night by dozens of neon signs that cast a mesmerizing glow. Older residents of the city may remember that one of these depicted a huge glass of Mamos beer.

Yacht and ship collide at sea off Patra
One man was injured after a US-flagged sailboat collided with an unidentified vessel south of Patra port in western Greece on Sunday morning.
After the crash at sea, the sailboat, which had three passengers on board, managed to sail safely to Patra.
The injured person was taken to the city's university hospital and was discharged after receiving first aid.

Slight fall in average hotel rates in March
Greek hoteliers have dropped their rates slightly this month in an effort to bolster bookings.
Data released on Tuesday by travel website Trivago showed that the average online price per night for a double room in Greece has gone down 6 percent year-on-year to 79 euros, against 84 euros in March 2016.
