As previously announced by Sportal.bg, the new majority ownership of the 26-time champions is named Georgi Popov, who took the main package of shares from the former boss Spas Rusev and is close to businessman Vasil Bozhkov.

This was officially confirmed by the director of the tournament Pavel Kolev, who clarified that Zidane will be visiting Bulgaria not in his capacity as an official, but as a father.

Bulgaria's Minister of Youth and Sports Krasen Kralev announced that the state will provide BGN 1.1 M for hosting the UEFA European U-17 Championship in 2015.

Kralev said that the programme has been approved and a contract will be signed soon, the news website Dnevnik reports.
