Koper to host religious dignitaries from 15 countries
The Slovenian Catholic Church will host a meeting of religious dignitaries from 15 countries in the region in Koper in June in a bid to foster interreligious dialogue and peace.
The event, titled the Forum for Dialogue and Peace in the Balkans, will be held on 17 and 18 June to discuss how to prevent the erosion of peace in the region by engaging in interreligious dialogue.
James Gunn to direct ‘Superman: Legacy,’ aiming for 2025
James Gunn is directing a Superman film. "Superman: Legacy," which Gunn also wrote, is also set for a July 11, 2025, he and his co-chair and fellow CEO of DC Studios Peter Safran announced on March 15.
The film, Gunn said, deals with the superhero's journey to make sense of both his aristocratic Kryptonian heritage and his small town, midwestern upbringing as Clark Kent.
Da Vinci was son of a slave, research says
Leonardo da Vinci, the painter of the "Mona Lisa" and a symbol of the Renaissance, was only half-Italian, his mother a slave from the Caucasus, new research revealed on March 14.
Da Vinci's mother had long been thought a Tuscan peasant, but University of Naples professor Carlo Vecce, a specialist in the Old Master, believes the truth is more complicated.
