Tomorrow Prison Staff go to a National Protest

A second national protest of prison staff and judicial guards will take place tomorrow in Sofia. Protesters will submit their claims to several institutions - the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Finance and the Council of Ministers. One group will go from the Court of Justice. The protest march on Saturday will be led by bagpipes in national costumes.

The Prosecutor's Office Accused Veselin Mareshki of Extortion

The Specialised Anticorruption Unit of Sofia City's Prosecutor's Office has pressed charges against MP Veselin Mareshki over extortion, the Prosecutor's Office said, quoted by bTV. 

He is accused of threatening 7 pharmacy owners in Varna, Dobrich, Vidin, Pleven and Sofia between 2012 and 2015.

Case against MP Mareshki and His Team Will Not Be Over Soon, Prosecution Says

''The case against the MPs from Volya party Veselin Mareshki, Plamen Hristov and Krastina Taskova will not be over soon'', Roumyana Arnaudova, the spokesperson of Bulgaria's Chief Prosecutor, told BNT morning programme "The Day Begins" on 26th of June.

According to the prosecutor's office, many actions are to be carried out and more than 80 people should be interviewed.
