Prosecution Office for KLA war crimes not seeking Haradinaj's extradition

BELGRADE - The Specialist Prosecution Office for Kosovo war crimes committed has neither issued, nor requested a warrant for the arrest or extradition of Ramush Haradinaj.

This is what the head of the office, David Schwendiman, has told Belgrade-based newspaper Vecernje Novosti.

Ramush Haradinaj could become KLA crimes court's first case

BELGRADE - According to Deutsche Welle, talk about the possibility of France extraditing Ramush Haradinaj to the Special Court for KLA crimes is growing louder.

The head of the Serbian War Crimes Prosecution, Milan Petrovic, confirmed that this is a possibility, the German broadcaster said in a report published on its Serbian service website.

French Court Orders Release of Ramush Haradinaj

BELGRADE - A French court ordered to release Ramush Haradinaj, a former Kosovo guerrilla commander and prime minister, arrested last week at the request of Serbia.

The court in the city of Colmar ruled on January 12 that Haradinaj can remain under judicial supervision on bail while his case is being considered.

Haradinaj has no permission to leave France.
