Rebic underlined that drunk-driving is major factor that causes traffic accidents.
"Statistics show that in the past ten years, between 170 to 260 people have been killed in traffic accidents during the summer season", Rebic told Radio-Television of Serbia.

Of them, eight percent are classified as high-level crime groups, Rebic added.

According to him, the remaining 92 percent are classified as low and medium groups and as such do not pose a significant threat to Serbia's security.

Ivanovic was shot dead from a moving car on January 16, in northern Kosovska Mitrovica. According to reports, this car was later found torched near the scene.

Rebic added that since being owned by the Serb - who is deceased - the vehicle was subsequently sold several times, and that the police were trying to find out who the last owner was.
