Another Quake Rocks Greece

An earthquake measuring 4,8 on the Richter scale was registered to the south of the Greek island of Crete, local news wires reported minutes ago. The epicenter was at 20 km to the south of small island of Gavdos, the southernmost point of Greece.  

So far no casualties or destructions have been reported.

Quake of 4.9 Richter hits off northeast Crete

An earthquake measuring 4.9 on the Richter scale rattled the Aegean islands of Crete and Karpathos on Thursday afternoon. There are no preliminary reports of injuries or damages.

The quake struck at 3.36 p.m., 48 kilometers off the northeastern coast of Crete's Siteia region, in the sea area between Crete and Karpathos, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

4.5 Magnitude Earthquake in Plovdiv

An earthquake of magnitude 4.5 on the Richter scale was felt in Plovdiv and the area around the second largest city in our country. According to the data of the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center the quake was registered at 14:01. Its epicenter was 13 km northeast of Plovdiv at a depth of 2 km. The hearth is also 135 km east of Sofia.
