Türkiye and Armenia will hold the fourth round of meetings for the normalization of ties, the Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement on June 28.

"The fourth meeting of the Special Representatives for the normalization process between Türkiye and Armenia, Ambassador Serdar Kılıç and Deputy Speaker Ruben Rubinyan, will take place in Vienna on July 1, 2022," read the statement.

The special representatives from Turkey and Armenia will hold their third in-person meeting next week as part of an ongoing mutual bid to establish diplomatic ties between the two neighbors, the Foreign Ministry has said.

Turkey and Armenia held a second round of talks for the normalization of ties on Feb. 24 in Vienna to restore relations between the two neighboring countries.

Turkey and Armenia will launch mutual charter flights on Feb. 2 as part of an ongoing process for the normalization of ties.

Ankara and Moscow are working to determine the date for a visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin to Turkey where discussions will also focus on tensions in eastern Ukraine, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Cavuşoğlu said on Jan. 27, pointing out the aftermath of the Russian leader's participation in the Beijing Olympics.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Jan. 14 that Armenia will likely attend this year's Antalya Diplomacy Forum in Turkey's southern province of Antalya.

"Our special representatives have met. If the process continues like this, it is highly possible that Armenia will participate in the Antalya Diplomacy Forum," he said at a virtual news conference.

Turkey and Armenia will discuss what further steps can be taken after the resumption of charter flights as part of an ongoing process for the normalization of ties, the Turkish top diplomat has said.
