The new academic year starts at Sofia University. Before the official ceremony, scheduled for 10:00, the rector of Alma Mater Prof. Anastas Gerdjikov and the members of the Academic Council will bring flowers to the monuments of Evlogi and Hristo Georgiev. Official guest to the opening will be President Rumen Radev, reports iNews. 

Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva returned from the United States, where she was visiting along with President Rumen Radev.

President Rumen Radev met with representatives of the Bulgarian community in Chicago. The visit is within the Head of State's first visit in the US. He visited the St Sofia church, where he was greeted in a traditional way for our country with bread and salt, then lit a candle for health and talked to the priest of the temple.

''Bulgaria can attract many more US investors, but to do this, we need to do our homework - the fight against corruption must be really uncompromising.'' This was stated by President Rumen Radev before journalists after holding a meeting in New York with the US President (1993-2001) Bill Clinton, reported BGNES.

The strategic partnership between Bulgaria and the United States is a prerequisite for a far more active economic and investment cooperation, said President Rumen Radev said at a working meeting with the representatives of companies that have invested or are considering making investments in Bulgaria, organized by the Business council for international understanding.

The possibilities for encouragement of the trade and bilateral investments between Bulgaria and Uzbekistan were discussed by the presidents of the two countries, Rumen Radev and Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during their meeting in New York City yesterday.

The news has been announced by the press office of the Bulgarian President.

Iran's President Hassan Rouhani said in a meeting with his Bulgarian counterpart Rumen Radev on Tuesday that economic and private sectors in the two countries should be encouraged and supported to strengthen their ties and enhance cooperation, IRNA reported.

President Rumen Radev will speak at the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly. The speech of the Bulgarian head of state will start around 19:00. Novinite.bg reports. 

At a meeting in New York with representatives of leading Jewish organizations from USA, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev called for more investments by USA and Israel in Bulgaria in the sphere of information technologies and other spheres with high value added.
