Kurdish militants claim responsibility for Ankara bombing

A Kurdish militant group on Feb. 19 claimed responsibility for the deadly Ankara car bomb attack, which killed at least 28 and injured 61 others.

The Turkish authorities have yet to comment on the terrorist group's claim.

Turkish officials have announced that the Syrian Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) carried out the attack.

Three soldiers killed, four wounded as building collapses in Sur during military operation

Three soldiers were killed and four others wounded when a building collapsed while soldiers were inside due to an ongoing military operation in the Sur district of southeastern Diyarbak?r province, the Turkish Army has announced. 

According to the statement released by the Army, the building collapsed on Feb. 19 while seven soldiers were inside.

Around half of start-ups in Turkey established by Syrians in January

Syrians topped the list of foreign start-ups in Turkey in January 2016, with the number of Syrian company-partnered firms established in January totaling 227, according to data from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB).

Data shows that 6,894 companies started operating in Turkey in January, 466 of which are foreign-partnered.

Turkish military continues shelling PYD targets in northern Syria

The Turkish military shelled Syria's Democratic Union Party (PYD) targets in northern Syria on Feb. 19, continuing to respond to fire coming from the region over the past week.

Turkish artillery units stationed in the K?r?khan district of the southern province of Hatay shelled the PYD's strategic targets five times in Syria's Afrin province.

Bomb-laden car halted in southeast Turkey's Diyarbak?r

A vehicle laden with 500kg of explosives, Kalashnikov rifles and ammunition, was apprehended by gendarmerie officials in the southeastern province of Diyarbak?r late on Feb. 18, the Governor's Office has stated, just two days after a car bomb targeting military personnel shuttles killed 28 in the capital Ankara. 

Number of detained suspects in Ankara bombing rises to 17

The number of suspects detained over the Ankara car bomb attack has risen to 17, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor has announced.

Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor Harun Kodalak also said the incident had now "almost been solved." 

"We have almost solved the incident. Necessary statements will be made by our statesmen soon," Kodalak said.

Two soldiers, policeman killed in clashes in Diyarbak?r's Sur

Two soldiers and a policeman have been killed in an armed attack by outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants during an operation in the Sur district of the southeastern province of Diyarbak?r, the Turkish Army has announced. 

The statement said the attack, which occurred during an operation in Sur on Feb. 19, heavily wounded two soldiers and a policeman.
