BUFFALO, NY - Ask the families of the victims of last year's racist massacre in Buffalo what they want and one goal comes up again and again.

Kate Winslet and Ben Whishaw were among the winners at the BAFTA Television Awards in London on May 14, with the Oscar-winning actress using her acceptance speech to call for action against harmful content on social media.

Abosede Ruth, a 25-year-old Nigerian national, has been enrolled in a culinary school in the southeastern province of Gaziantep for four months.

She is planning to open a restaurant in Canada after completing the eight-month training and an eight-month internship program.

"I love cooking and tasting. I want to be a big chef and I want to open a restaurant in Canada," she said.

Turkish viola player Ruşen Güneş died on May 29 at the age of 80 in London, where he had been living since 1969.

When Rosamere Fernanda de Andrade first held her newborn baby she assumed there had been a mix up.  Rosamere and ex-husband, Joao, are both black – but their daughter, Ruth, had white skin, blonde hair and blue eyes. But it was no mistake – Ruth, suffers from a rare generic condition called albinism and has no skin pigment.
