Turkey’s TAV takes over ops at Almaty Airport

Prominent Turkish airport operator TAV Airports has taken over operations at Almaty Airport, Kazakhstan's main and busiest aviation hub.

The airport's capacity will be doubled with a $200 million investment to build a new international terminal, the operator said in a statement on April 30.

The investment is planned to be completed in less than three years.

3.76 pct of shares in TAV Airports sold to foreign corporate buyers

Tepe Construction and Sera Yapı, two TAV Airports shareholders, have sold more than 13.7 million shares at 19.85 Turkish Liras per share in the company, corresponding to 3.76 percent of stake in the capital of the company, to foreign corporate buyers, TAV said in a press release on Sept. 12. 

The shareholders have pledged not to sell any more shares for 270 days.

Three biggest TAV airports in Turkey amongst world's most environmentally friendly

Istanbul Atatürk Airport, Ankara Esenboğa Airport and İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport, all run by Turkish airport operator TAV, are among the world's most environmentally friendly, the company said in a written statement to mark its Sustainability Report.
