Prime Minister Boyko Borisov is the most mentioned figure in Bulgarian media in 2014, shows the joint media monitoring of the foundations Media Democracy and Konrad Adenauer, released on Tuesday.

Borisov was mentioned 3908 times in eight leading Bulgarian media (4 daily newspapers and 4 TV stations) in 2014.

Parliament To Debate On Reintroduction of Progressive Personal Income Tax

Bulgaria's Parliament will discuss at first reading on Wednesday draft amendments to personal income tax law and the reintroduction of progressive tax.

The two different draft amendments - tabled by the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) and the left-wing nationalists Ataka - were overruled last week by the interim parliamentary budget and finances committee.

Prosecution To Demand Stripping of Immunity of Siderov, Tsvetanov, Stanishev

Bulgaria's Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov will demand the stripping of the immunity of the Ataka leader Volen Siderov and the GERB deputy leader Tsvetan Tsvetanov, Tsatsarov told journalists.

He will also request the stripping of immunity of former Bulgarian Socialist Party leader Sergei Stanishev who is currently an MEP.

Pajtic on visit to China as member of PES delegation
