Bulgaria, Switzerland to Cooperate on Raising Motivation of Prosecutors

Bulgarian Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov presented on Friday a project on "increasing the integrity and motivation of prosecutors in the context of the new challenges presented to the fight against organised crime".

His Excellency Denis Knobel, Swiss Ambassador to Bulgaria, also took part in the presentation, daily Dnevnik reports.

Volen Siderov, who heads the ultra-nationalist party Ataka, has renounced the immunity he enjoys as a lawmaker in order to face prosecution.

Parliament Speaker Tsetska Tsacheva announced at the beginning of Wednesday's plenary session that Siderov had submitted the day before a declaration to request the move.
