Around 50 people gathered in protest at the Court of Justice for the resignation of Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov, reports Darik. 

According to protesters, Tsatsarov has blocked attempts for real judicial reform and has ruined public confidence in the prosecutor's office.

Prime Minister Boyko Borisov met with the General Prosecutor of the Russian Federation, Yuri Chayka, who is visiting Bulgaria, the government information service said.

Russia's General Prosecutor Yuri Chaika will visit his Bulgarian counterpart, Sotir Tsatsarov, next week, Dnevnik reports.

Bulgaria has ordered an investigation after revelations by the Guardian and other media partners that Azerbaijan operated a secret .9bn fund to lobby influential Europeans and to funnel money offshore, reported the Guardian.

Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov has moved to lift the immunity of GERB MP Zhivko Martinov, according to BGNES.

Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov asked the Parliament today to strip of immunity from prosecution three MPs from the Volya party, led by Veselin Mareshki, the Prosecutor's Office said.
These are Veselin Mareshki, Krastina Taskova and Plamen Hristov.

Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov called for more law and less politics to enable the judicial reform. He spoke at a chess meeting with investigators and members of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC), with the participation of Russian chess player and MP Anatoly Karpov, a reporter of FOCUS News Agency said.
