Greek coronavirus infections rise to 2,663, deaths to 147, official confirms
Health Ministry adviser Sotiris Tsiodras on Wednesday confirmed that Greece's Covid-19 toll reached a total of 147 on Wednesday as one more person died in Athens.
Tsiodras added that infections rose in the 24-hour period from the last update by 21 new cases, 11 of which were traced to a military medical facility, bringing the nationwide total to 2,663.
Tsiodras stars in short animated video on Covid-19
The Greek government's chief medical advisor on infectious diseases, professor Sotiris Tsiodras, stars in a short animated video which aims to inform children about the spread, symptoms and prevention of Covid-19.
The idea for the 2.30-minute video, which is titled "Little Covid-19," originated with Foteini Konstantopoulou, a police officer and author of children's books.

Ten new cases of coronavirus, zero deaths
The Greek Health Ministry on Tuesday confirmed 10 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total to 2,642.
Speaking at the daily briefing, Health Ministry representative Sotiris Tsiodras said no new deaths from Covid-19 were recorded in the past 24 hours (total number remains at 146).

Two more coronavirus deaths confirmed
Greek Health Ministry representative Sotiris Tsiodras on Monday announced two new deaths from the novel coronavirus in the country which raise the total number of fatalities to 146.
He said six new infections have been confirmed in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 2,632.

Advice on use of face masks against Covid-19
As the government prepares to start easing restrictions on movement next week, Health Ministry spokesman Sotiris Tsiodras underlined the importance of wearing face masks in closed public areas to avert the spread of the coronavirus and said health authorities are working on an infomercial with instructions on how to make them.

Covid-19 briefings to resume Saturday
There will be no briefing on Covid-19 on Friday, the Health Ministry said in a statement.
The daily briefings by Deputy Minister for Civil Protection Nikos Hardalias and infectious diseases specialist Sotiris Tsiodras will resume Saturday at the regular time of 6 p.m.
Greece's death toll from the novel coronavirus currently stands at 140.
