Top Turkish diplomat discusses virus with counterparts

Turkey's foreign minister on June 2 spoke over the phone with his counterparts from four countries to discuss the fight against the novel coronavirus and the normalization process.

According to diplomatic sources, Mevlüt Çavuloğlu held phone conversation with Serbia's Ivica Dacic, Niger's Kalla Ankourao, Montenegro's Srdjan Darmanovic, and Chad's Cherif Mahamat Zene.

Bozovic said after the meeting at the ministry he had no intention of interfering in RTCG's editorial policies.

"I respect the state of Montenegro. But like all Serbian people, I am especially sensitive about the fascist Ustasa movement," Bozovic told media.

Turkey top diplomat meets Montenegro parliament speaker

Turkey's foreign minister met Montenegro's parliament speaker in capital Ankara on Feb. 19.

In a tweet, Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said the two countries are "giving great importance to interparliamentary cooperation".

The foreign minister said he was very pleased to meet Ivan Brajovic, the parliament speaker of "friend and ally" Montenegro, twice within one week.

Syrian regime will pay ‘heavy price’ for any attack: Erdoğan

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Feb. 11 vowed that the Syrian regime, which attacked Turkish troops in northwestern Syria's Idlib province, would pay a "heavy price."

The president also said he would announce a series of new steps on Feb. 12 that Turkey would take against Bashar al-Assad's regime over attacks on Turkish soldiers in Idlib.

Joe Biden, John McCain, Mike Turner to receive medals from Montenegro

Montenegrin Foreign Minister Srdjan Darmanovic will next week present medals to the former US Vice President Joseph Biden, Senator John McCain and Congressman Mike Turner because, as he stated, "of contribution to promotion of Montenegrin interests and strengthening of bilateral relations and international reputation and status of Montenegro".
